Frozen Açaí Bowl

If you are looking from healthy, different options for breakfast; this is one! Açaí berries are considered a superfood coming from Brazil. They are native from the Amazon region where they are a staple food. Besides providing vitamin A and calcium, they are loaded with much more antioxidants than any other berries. For the same reason, it is considered to have anti-aging properties; and it has become popular in skin products. You can enjoy Açaí in sorbets like in this bowl, in smoothies or you can even make desserts!

For this bowl, feel free to add any fruit, nuts or cereals. If you want a gluten free version, please use GF cereal like the one recommended in the recipe card below. I have seen many version, including some with dried figs and puffed amaranth. You will not regret, this is fast and delicious. Enjoy!

  1. To make the Açaí sorbet: Blend ice with Açaí powder and Stevia 
  2. In a bowl add the fruit, with almond butter and sprinkle granola. Transfer the Açaí sorbet with an ice cream scoop , and enjoy!
